Friends of Linden Alley

Friends of Linden Alley (FoLA) is an all-volunteer group of neighborhood stakeholders committed to the long-term stewardship of the alley. It will be fiscally sponsored by the San Francisco Parks Alliance, starting October 2018. See draft Bylaws here, to be finalized and adopted later this winter.

Our Meetings

FoLA meets monthly, and welcomes participation of any shape and form. Notes from previous meetings can be found below:

Linden Alley Phase II Design

On behalf of the Friends of Linden Alley, local nonprofit Place Lab was awarded a $189,000 grant by the San Francisco Community Challenge Grant Living Alley Program in January 2017 to complement the highly celebrated Linden Alley original improvements, and make the alley more vibrant, safe and welcoming for all. The grant funded "tactical" surface-level improvements to Linden St between Gough St and Octavia Blvd, including overhead artistic lanterns, sidewalk gardens and custom redwood planter benches. More about the grant award here. Our grand opening party was on October 12, 2018.
